The wood for this pen comes from the Texas hill country.  The Texas mountain laurel grows around the creeks within the rock formations in central Texas.  The shrub isn't really much to look at but what Mother Nature created within is something extrodinary.  The Native Americans relished the beans put out by the bush and thought that they gave mystic powers. The shrub is often called a Mescal bean tree. This pen has 24k gold trim on the cap, clip, center band and also on the nib.  The pen is postable so you can screw the cap to the bottom if you wish.
