Having been submerged in an Irish bog for thousands of years it is highly unlikely that the normal person would have something as unique as this beautiful  pen.  What are the chances that 4000 thousand years ago, when this particular grand old oak tree was buried deep under the surface, that it would find its way into your hand.  Imagine this small piece of a great oak standing 500 years before the pyramids in Egypt, what kind of things happened at its feet.  Was there a warrior camp underneath its wide canopy or maybe a young druid maiden dreaming of the family she and her farmer husband would raise.  The wood survived only because of all the natural toxins and alkali's in the bog.  Those same chemicals give the wood a deep rich brown to black color.  This pen is dressed in rare rhodium and has a 22k gold center band to match the gold encrusted finial and cap.  The pen is equipped with a German medium point nib and has never been inked.  This is a medium sized majestic looking pen and would make a great one of a kind gift for any occasion or a fine addition to your own collextion.
